Today, I took Renge and Saito to the vet so that I could get their passports updated accordingly. Once everything is cleared in France (which won't take long for either because they are still on file), we'll be able to take them out of Japan with no problems. It was a bit too cold and rainy for a trip to the park, so I brought them with me to go visit my grandfather. We played shogi and a couple of quick Go rounds games. Saito seemed incredibly alert there. Renge contented herself by resting at my grandfather's feet. It was a good visit. Though he did say I should cut my hair.

There's a kendo examination this weekend. I believe my brother and I are going to be participating in the matches for the lower dans. It will be good practise for the both of us.

The trips to Paris and Barcelona are booked. A week at our other home will be nice. I didn't get enough time when I was there in October. There's just something about taking an early morning run and picking up the ingredients for breakfast on the way home. I found the perfect place for the stay in Spain. It's practically secluded and located on a private beach.

Yanagi, do you know what you are getting Sasuke for Christmas? Since we won't be here for the holidays, I thought it would be better to get him something now. My brother hasn't been much help in the area.

I have plenty of ideas, just not ones Sasuke would appreciate. Someone should start him on the classics, for example.

What was the thing he's interested in now? Bakugan? Beyblade? Young minds are so fickle.

I imagine once he starts training you'll be asked to provide them.

If I'm not mistake, he still likes Bakugan.

He does remarkably well if the dogs are around. Yukimura and I got him a fish. Sasuke is a bit too young for a dog or a cat.
