Feb. 1st, 2012 02:20 pmClasses have been going well. Besides the usual skills, the students are studying French now instead of Spanish. There's going to be a ranking examination at the end of the month which I'll be supervising along with a few other S-rank butlers. A few of the students now are quite promising and others I know because of Lioncrest so I think there will be some rank increases.
It seems my nephew has been taught how to text, in particular, picture messages. I received one of the fish Seiichi and I caught at Tanabata last year and of his Bakugan collectionwhich it quite a bit larger than I initially suspected. I might ask my brother if they would be willing to let him come stay with us for a weekend. The dogs will enjoy seeing him. There's the added bonus that he can tire them out.

Jan. 8th, 2012 09:04 pmThe holidays abroad were quite relaxing. We spent around a week in Paris checking on the galleries, catching up with our friends, and taking the dogs on walks around the city. The weather stayed nice -- only a couple days of rain -- and it was wonderful to play a game of pickup as well as take a few early morning runs on the Champs-Élysées.
Barcelona was fantastic. The beach house we rented was on a private beach on the south side of the city. Renge was particularly fond of rolling in the sand. The water was a bit too cold to swim in, but that was fine.
I start teaching at the academy my brother and I went to next Monday. The board has decided to try and modernize things a little so that the entire thing isn't so archaic.Plus, it allows me to maintain S-rank without having to test every so often. It will definitely be much better, in my opinion.

Dec. 24th, 2011 08:41 pmIt was kind of disappointing that there wasn't snow in Paris when we were there. Being home for the week was good. We spent some time at the Louvre and with our friends that were still in town. The dogs loved the attention though.
Barcelona is fantastic. The weather is brisk, so I'm not exactly going to do any swimming in the Mediterranean. We are going for a drive in a few days into the heart of Spain. Morning runs are very nice. Saito, especially, seems to enjoy the temperatures.
It has been a good holiday so far and I'm rather looking forward to the new year.

Dec. 1st, 2011 06:50 pmToday, I took Renge and Saito to the vet so that I could get their passports updated accordingly. Once everything is cleared in France (which won't take long for either because they are still on file), we'll be able to take them out of Japan with no problems. It was a bit too cold and rainy for a trip to the park, so I brought them with me to go visit my grandfather. We played shogi and a couple of quick Go rounds games. Saito seemed incredibly alert there. Renge contented herself by resting at my grandfather's feet. It was a good visit. Though he did say I should cut my hair.
There's a kendo examination this weekend. I believe my brother and I are going to be participating in the matches for the lower dans. It will be good practise for the both of us.
The trips to Paris and Barcelona are booked. A week at our other home will be nice. I didn't get enough time when I was there in October. There's just something about taking an early morning run and picking up the ingredients for breakfast on the way home. I found the perfect place for the stay in Spain. It's practically secluded and located on a private beach.
Yanagi, do you know what you are getting Sasuke for Christmas? Since we won't be here for the holidays, I thought it would be better to get him something now. My brother hasn't been much help in the area.

Nov. 17th, 2011 06:07 pmFor the most part, Argentina was a nice break. I wish it would have been without Atobe-sama, but there was nothing do be done about that. I stopped in Paris first to check on the apartment. I had dinner with a few of my old footballers and their girlfriends, all of whom seem to miss the dogs terribly, especially Renge. We ended up starting a small pick up game. I definitely miss playing the game; I might have to see if Sasuke would want to learn.
As nice as the vacation was, I'm glad to be home. There is quite a bit to catch up on and things to start working towards before going to Spain for Christmas.

Oct. 13th, 2011 07:24 pmOn Saturday, I'll be taking part in the exam to receive my 4-dan in kendo. I've been practising with my grandfather when my brother is unavailable. I'm not concerned about the practical exam. However, I have been doing quite a bit of reading so that I will be able to do well on the written exam. Otherwise, I believe I will be starting training for 5-dan starting on Sunday.
I also finished the last of the landscaping by securing bolts into the wooden posts into the patio awning. It definitely doesn't look empty anymore. The dogs have taken to it, but they have their own beds that my sister-in-law brought by a couple of weeks ago.

Sep. 22nd, 2011 10:46 pmI've finally completed the landscaping work on the house that has taken a few months. Most of the work took place over the last few weeks while the weather held. I'm particularly glad that I finished before the typhoon reached us.

Sep. 1st, 2011 07:30 pmAfter returning from Narita, I took Saito on a long run. I think we ran around 3km before heading back home. Admittedly, it's a bit more quiet, but with all the construction going on that won't be bothersome. We've dug up most of the backyard in order to put up some walls for landscaping. Those go up tomorrow followed by the stonework, concrete, and the irrigation. There is more than enough room for everything I have planned, which is nice.
Seiichi, your plants are safe.I know you were about to call in a panic after reading about the backyard being upended. I've arranged them accordingly and they will be replanted when everything is cleared.

Aug. 15th, 2011 08:03 pmThe vacation in Bhutan was very much needed. It was nice to have some time alone before things get a lot more hectic. The Tiger's Nest Monastery was quite exquisite. Bhutan, in general, was very beautiful and I think we both came home with ideas running through our thoughts. Very beneficial in more ways than one.

Apr. 4th, 2011 07:17 pmI just returned from a spar with my brother. I landed quit a few hits, but Nobumasu can still give as good as he takes it. We will probably both be sporting bandages for the next few days while our ribs heal up.
Despite said physical wounds, I still can do what I need to. With that, Atobe-sama, could you stop acting like a kindergartner and metaphorically pulling Yukimura's hair? It's unbecoming of a man of your status to act in such a way.
The weather is supposed to be quite nice for the remainder of the week, with temperatures in the low 20s. I think it would be nice to take Sasuke to Euro Disney one more time before our families fly back to Japan. Seiichi, if your classes aren't too time consuming this week, would you like to come with us?

Mar. 30th, 2010 09:31 amGermany is nice and all, but I really wish it would stop raining. It makes it kind of hard to plan to do any outdoor activity if you are unsure of exactly what is going to happen. It's supposed to be decently warm today, 20°C, so maybe the weather will hold again until late evening.
Though, I was able to go into Munich the other morning and pick up some tea for when we are back on campus. I also picked up a small gift for my nephew. It's not exactly a Bakugan toy, but I think he'll appreciate it nonetheless.
Besides the weather, this trip has been quite a stress reliever. I'll definitely have to double up on my iaido when I return to campus though.Damn customs.

Feb. 24th, 2010 02:22 pmI know it is late notice, but I have decided to cancel the kendo lesson for tomorrow. I think during this situation it would be best if we were with our masters.
There have been numerous calls and emails. I have fielded each one of them so that they don't disturb Yukimura-sama.
The tea, pitcher, mugs, and canvases all arrived and have been put away. However, I think I'll have to place an order for a few pots soon.
